Asked by BlazeTheComic (Via Aryion): I do have a question for Night Light. Has she ever pranked anyone using her natural glow?
Night Light has never been much of a prankster, but sharing a forest home with the rather easily startled Cain has lent to a few rounds of this obnoxiously speedy bat spooking him thoroughly before indulging in a delightfully sweaty pre-seasonedmeal~ Night Light has always had a bit of trouble sneaking up on her prey, being a bio-luminescent, nocturnal predator, but has trained herself on endurance and speed to more than make up for the deficit of sneakery. Simple running alone would never have saved him~
Questions from @pegastine (via Aryion): I suppose I have a few questions for the tail-mouthed characters: What are the origins of your tails’ names? Do they have completely separate minds of their own? Can they speak?
Cobalt’s tailmouth is a bit more opinionated and expressive of their feelings than the others, and may be likened to an overly-expressive tail or set of ears on a demi-human character; not exactly their own entity, but often betraying the inner thoughts and feelings of the bearer. It can be a bit of a distressing situation, being presented with a cutie Cobalt wants to impress while Mila is openly drooling over them << (Mila was actually Cobalt’s original name before I re-designed her, so I felt like it would be a nice nod to her original concept, but haven’t entirely worked it into her backstory, yet.) Mila is incapable of sentient speech, but can hum, growl, and makes almost yelping sounds upon occasion.
Silent Night’s cutie mark is actually for astrology, not photography, and he used to own a planetarium/observatory! He got into photography after losing the building to discord’s world alterations. Alcor was named after his favorite star, a faint twin-star, and part of the Big Dipper’s handle. They have a very in-tune dynamic, and typically seem to function as a singular entity, agreeing on most subjects and tending to leave Silent in control of their entire form unless Alcor is too enthused to contain himself. Alcor is quiet and docile, preferring to remain unnoticed unless directly addressed, but can whistle, purr, and chirp from time to time.
Bloody Mary’s tailmouth had no name when she tumbled into The Inn. Cain jokingly suggested Susan as a name for her nameless tailmouth, and the tailmouth absolutely loved it. Mary doesn’t get why it makes her coworkers giggle, but she doesn’t mind ;v; Susan is a bit of a troublemaker, having more of a will of her own than the others, and tends to consume whatever she wants, be it alcohol, patrons, or whatever else presents itself. “Please, Susan, I need this job…” is an unfortunately common plea to overhear from Mary’s relatively desolate corner of the bar. Silent has likened Susan to having a very stubborn cat strapped to one’s rear. (Mary started as a gag character- Bloody Mary and Susan, Mary Sue. She was intended to be absolutely ridiculous and terrible, but we loved her too much to let her go TTvTT)
Just got a new tablet so I can start drawing on the computer again and not use the mouse! Yay! Quite a relatively cheap tablet (and it’s tiny as all hell), but hey, it gets the job done!
